Thomas Jefferson: "No government can continue good, but under the control of the people!"

I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve you as your State Representative in District 25, Alabama State Legislature.  The past four years have been very interesting and at times very frustrating.  During my 1st session in 2007 I was very busy learning the system and making friends with my colleagues in the House.  The 2008 session was very productive: I was able promote some very good legislation and build up some beneficial friendships.  In 2009 I began to see some of the fruits of my labor.  I was able to pass legislation dealing with transparency in the Governor's Office.  This law requires the Governor's Office to post on the Alabama State Web Site all flight logs from state aircraft and contingency fund spending in the Governor's Office.  In 2009 and 2010 I was part of the conference committee representing the House of Representatives in PAC to PAC transfer Legislation.  I will continue to promote ethics legislation and work on legislation dealing with Illegal Immigration, child predators, public education accountability, tax credits for small business, return of 4 year property appraisals and Transportation Funding.

When I ran for the State Legislature in 2006, I promised that I would serve you in the best possible way.  I have fulfilled that promise to the best of my ability.  Over the past four years I have responded to over 1500 e-mails and countless telephone calls.  Your input has been very valuable to me and I have always made your concerns my concerns while serving you.  I have sponsored 20 bills/legislation and co-sponsored 220 bills/legislation.  I have taken time to prepare over 43 resolutions to recognize the accomplishments in our District.  I have been involved in our community and supported local businesses, schools, and the Volunteer Fire Departments.  This opportunity has been a rewarding and enjoyable time in my life!

2010 is election year and I am seeking re-election to the House Seat in District 25.  I need your help!
